For this process to continue, it is often necessary to share research materials and data with other researchers. The way institutions exchange documents and research data is done through hardware transfer agreements (ATMs) or data use agreements (DUAs). The University of Michigan is committed to helping students move smoothly from their Community College to the University of Michigan-Flint. This commitment is reflected in our participation in the Michigan Transfer Agreement (MTA). The simplicity and flexibility of this agreement allows a transfer student to work simultaneously to complete the general educational requirements of the community school and a four-year institution. If this is done carefully, students can also meet additional general requirements, which are little and generally defined by the host institution. This will significantly reduce the likelihood of taking courses at a higher education institution that do not apply to obtaining a bachelor`s degree. Students considering a transfer to UM-Flint are encouraged to work with university advisors at UM-Flint and their current institution to learn how to use their academic experience. To complete an MTA, students must obtain at least 30 credits from an approved course list at a mailing institution with a score of at least 2.0 at each course.

Here is a list of MTA courses authorized by institution. These credits, certified by an issuing institution, must be filled out according to the following distributions: Sometimes the supplier unit does not make the MTA document itself available to them, but requires that you draw the document from their restricted online website. In these cases, please create an account on the company`s website before sending your request to mtagree@umn.edu. If you send your request to mtagree@umn.edu, please include the login information in the text of your email. UFRA SPA staff will then use this login information to obtain and verify the agreement.
